About Energy -But First – a Story

Ellie reads The Mahabharata

A story about two rival princes. Our hero Arjuna and his cousin compete for control of the kingdom. At an evening’s entertainment, the cousin suggests a game of dice.

It seems innocent to Arjuna. Cats live in a strange Universe, their best intentions often lead to serious consequences. Arjuna has lost the dice game. War seems inevitable.

Arjuna and his cousin seek Lord Krisna’s assistance. Krishna’s invincible army will fight along the cousin’s side. Krishna, who lives beyond the boundaries of time, is immortal, and as the most powerful warrior of all, has taken a vow to never again use his weapons. He offers to drive Arjuna’s war charriot instead.

War ensues…..

Our Strange Universe consists of just three main components, that is, the ones we can gain some comprehension of. They are Matter, Energy and the Space to contain the other two. It’s easy to recognize matter, it’s everything we can see, touch, or weigh, or measure its dimensions.

Energy on the other hand, has only the quality of measurability. A hot solid metal bar is different from the same bar pulled from the refrigerator in that, when hot, it holds relatively more (heat) Energy compared to when it was cold. The iron bar doesn’t change into something else in the process. It only holds more or less Energy.

Energy is intangible but there are a couple of things we can know about it. When it’s associated with a process involving motion, we call it kinetic energy. And we focus on the pathway the matter if following. Because any available pathway will be utilized and Energy will be released, energy using a pathway is kinetic energy.

When there is no pathway, the energy is stored, it’s called potential energy.

Heed the Mahabharata’s Warning –

God’s reservoir of power is not exhausted

Your enemy represents a pathway for God’s Power

Your enemy’s pathway is equivalent to your own
